Meet Our Staff
Dr. Joseph Kessler graduated with honors from the University of Missouri St. Louis School of Optometry in 1996. He is married with two children. He enjoys spending time with his family and is an avid cyclist. He saw his first patient at Kessler Eye Care in 1999. Interestingly enough that first patient now manages our Towne West location in Wichita. Dr. Kessler travels to all four offices but is most often found at our Merriam location.

Dr. Darren Reed is a graduate of Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tenn.

Jana Kessler oversees all four offices. She received a bachelor of science in biology from Southeast Missouri State University in 1991. She enjoys being married to the most handsome man in Kansas City and being the mother of two beautiful children. She is active in her children's elementary school's PTA.
Patty Byrd is the office manager of our Wichita office. She and her husband Joe were the first two patients of Dr. Kessler's at Kessler Eye Care. She is the mother of two grown children and grandmother to six. She enjoys spoiling her grandchildren and traveling with her husband.
